complicated, beautiful, deep, intense and raw... Elyse Haren is a classy, sassy, dark-haired storyteller with ethereal mystique. Raw, real, with nothing contrived; Elyse is making music on her own terms and on her own merit. With the soul of an unbridled rocker; untamable, distinctive, and moody; Elyse's creates intelligent music with something to say. Uniquely addictive and gritty, her sound overflows with passion and power and her songs, underlined with integrity, conviction, and vulnerability. She fell down the "music" rabbit hole (after graduating college) at a Fleetwood Mac concert in 2000. Captivated by the adrenaline-filled beginning kick drum, the unmistakable guitar, the vocal blend, the roar of the crowd and the energy behind it. She hasn't looked back. Consumed by writing and guitar (eventually a little piano, bass, and engineering), Elyse found herself lost in creating unforgettable melodies, poetic ways of expressing her most honest thoughts, and a rockin' yet intimate vocal. She’s played shows all over LA, solo or with her band including the Knitting Factory, The Rainbow, The Viper Room, The Roxy, but it was recording her own home demos, where she developed the raw sound that would become her place to shine. Elyse has written and recorded dozens of songs with different producers and through those unreleased songs found investors to match her contribution to make her first full length album. Unwilling to settle, Elyse sought out the team to make the album that deserves to be made. After a meeting with producers Brett Chassen and Bob Kulick(you can google them), the choice was a clear one. Both straight-forward New Yorkers like Elyse, the three decided, to embark on making an album. She then recruited engineer/bass player, Robin Holden along with guitar player, Greg Pajer and drummer, Blake Paulson. The mighty bunch is currently in pre-production on her debut full length album "Shut up and Listen!" scheduled for release in March 2008! The takeover of the underdog is in full swing!
